Karen is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who provides individual and family cognitive behavioral, solution-focused treatment approaches. She is trained through Emdria to provide EMDR therapy and is working toward full certification. Karen worked for many years at Child and Family’s Services, Emergency Services Program where she evaluated both children and adults in psychiatric crisis. She believes in treating the whole person and tailors treatment to meet each individual’s needs and treatment goals.
Karen graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and earned a BA in Sociology with a concentration in Social Services. She earned a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University and is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She has been working as a school social worker at the Global Learning Charter Public School for the past 13 years and began her part time private practice 2 years ago.
