Melissa is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts. She received a BS and BA from the University of Rhode Island as well as a Masters of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2008. Outside of private practice, Melissa works as a counselor in an Early Intervention Program treating children from birth to three and their families.
Melissa works to combine a humanistic, client focused therapy with behavioral techniques to help her clients feel and live better. Her approach includes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) informed therapy. She works with a wide variety of clients including those with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, bereavement, trauma, developmental issues and interpersonal struggles.
